WARNING. Certain unknown persons have been distributing checks to individuals bearing the name of "Van Der Moolen Specialist USA, LLC" on an account allegedly at Citizen's Bank in Philadelphia. Van der Moolen does not have an account at this bank and is not connected to the issuance of these checks which may be part of an attempt to defraud and deceive the recipients. Persons receiving such checks, particularly if asked to convert them to bank checks or wire transfers and return them to an address while retaining part of the funds as a "mystery shopper," should exercise caution. Van der Moolen Specialists USA, LLC settled a case with the SEC several years ago as part of which a "Fair Funds" special account has been set up at Citizen's Bank by a Claims Administrator.
